READ Polk offers two kinds of training: training for people who want to become tutors and training for current tutors who want to enhance their skills and knowledge. All the sessions are led by certified trainers with special expertise in teaching volunteers how to teach someone to read. Please check the calendar below for information on upcoming training.
2010-2011 Training for New Tutors
This training prepares potential tutors to gain the skills necessary to teach reading to adults. Tutors are certified by attending a training workshop. Reservations call 877-280-READ (7323)
